Took the missus out on the yak for the first time today. Spent a bit under two hours cruising around the end of Coal & Candle Ck and casting a bubblepop. Wife was even good enough to paddle a bit under my direction while I fired off casts to likely locations.

Tally for the day was one missed hookup on the bubblepop. Saw a variety of fish, mostly juvenile. Lots of blackfish and whiting and a few garfish. Very few bream. Nice day for it.

Great day, I am sure it was better than mine, driving to Newcastle and back

Did you run the sounder over the bay, sometimes some school jew get up there at this time of year. Don't know why but they do
