After not getting out on the weekend i decided to load the yak up sunday nite and hit the water after work monday.. 15 knots and 1/2 mt waves sounded do-able with a resonably warm evening.
Launched from Chelsea YC about 6pm and got straight onto a small flattie with a Kokoda version SX40 HB (great bloody lure)...dropped anchor about 1 km out and then IT-WAS-ON. Using Baits and 3"pumpkinseed SP's it was flattiefantastic, unfortunatly not a single keeper  . i fair-dinkum reckon i caught up to 30-40 over 2 1/2 hours and all came in under 25cm.Bugger.
with 1/2 hour of light left i trolled aways up and down and picked up a beauty 42cm blue spotted flattie
got off the water about 9pm - cold as fk - packed up and hit the road. No sooner had i turned onto Nepean Hwy when i shot past Jason 'aka Squidder who appeared to be looking-out for me and so pulled over for a quik chin wag. Showed of my nice flattie and recieved a big 'thumbs Up as it was a nice looking fish.
What a great night.
