Hi All

Put the canoe in the river at 9am today and fished for about 3 hours. It was a beautiful morning till it rained. I got rather wet but it didn't matter because the temprature was about 25c.

The only 'keeper' that I caught was a 26cm bream. Still, it made a nice lunch.

Caught it while using my new 'tree hook'. (see post in 'Do It Yourself' titled 'tree hook')

May go out again tomorrow :)

John

Great lunch material John!

Casting around the snags, or was he a channel wanderer?

Red.
Hi Red

He was around the snags in about 1 metre of water. It was the first cast in that particular spot and the bait couldn't have been in the water for more than 5 seconds. He just hit it and took off. I was hoping that he was a 'Jack'. He behaved like one.

Nice fish John, will pop down after the Christmas school holidays are over and have a fish and a coldie with you.

Is mid week an option with you?

Sorry Richo, I'm calling you on a seniors moment. When did John go fishing?
  Dave yes I had noted that and hoped it was regular and not holidays, or similar as being retired I've become a lover of quiet waterways mid week.

By the way, in calling them seniors moments you are far kinder than my average mates who are never gentle at such times and which are nowadays more frequent

Hi Dodge

Yes, mid week is good. Sounds like a plan to me
