Hi all

Went out on the Brunswick today at around 11:00am. Even though the time of day was about as bad as you could get, you can almost always get a fish or two out of the river if the tides are right.

The result for a couple of hours drifting was two nice flathead at 38 and 39cm.

Your'e right, they are one of the ugliest ones around. But, at the same time, they are one of the best eating fish around. Particulary if they are not too big.

Always feel whiting and flathead are a gentlemen's fish; you can sleep in on Sunday, read the paper, and then go out in full daylight and still get either fish for a feed

Nice analogy Dodge never though about it that way before, definatly no need for crack of dawn for those two, however the whiting can be a bit more elusive than the mighty flathead.
