Here is a really dumb question? Ihave loaded several reels with different strength braid and nowI cant figure out which is which.I had a brain wave and brought a micrometer home from work, but once used the braid is soft and cannot be measured. I dont know of an easy strength test, so Im open for ideas.
Thanks Gary

Hi Gary I think most competition anglers test their breaking strains with a spring scales. Just load up and see what breaking strain the braid gives out at. Steve.

hagar, what line strengths are you talking here?

are you talking light line (4lb-8lb range) or light-heavy (say between 6lb and 30lb?) Also how many different reels have you done this with?
