Was a fantastic few days camping/fishing here... nothing special caught apart from a PB 51cm flattie, I did have a flattie up to 80cm by theyak but lost him and my only sx40 (spewing so bad i shed a bloody tear).
Caught plenty of leather jackets (1 at 2.3kg  ) plus lots of sand mullet and a couple of nice pan sized bream... but all in all small bag of fish considering i spent up to 8 hours a day on the water over the 4 days.
Decided to take a looooong detour coming home and found myself on a river of Mt Buffalo.Beautiful spot and looked reel promising but i couldnt even manage a bite, and i was throwing everything i had out there.oh well.
got home late last nite and checked the bays forecast, sounded smashing so packed up the yak again and hit rickets point with the wife about 7am. great morning but bugger all fish... a few nibbles here and there but generally not much action. only saw 2 boats try the area but even they buggered of pretty quik. It was such a rippa day convinced the wife to try further along the bay so of we went but as i dont really now where to head out from mornington or frankston i tried at Mt Eliza. had some fun with some flatties but again nothing special and decided to call it a day.
PHEW
i gotta say KAYAK FISHING is the bloody absolute BEE's Knees, I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT....
AND I HAVE ONLY JUST STARTED
I have taken a few photos but they arent on digital or mobile phone so dunno if i can post'em... hope i bloody can ... theres a couple of big flatties id like to show all you mob.
anyway - overall it was a brilliant experience with relatively small catches...BUT THEN REALLY I DONT GIVE A RAT'S - its being out on the water in a kayak with a rod in hand that makes it what it is.
cheers Tony
