Note change of night to avoid clashing with the Wednesday night state of origin game

Time for another social drink on the Gold Coast for AKFF members and visitors, this one being the 71st occasion, and another chance to catch up with mates and meet new AKFFers, or come along and just enquire about the forum,
TUESDAY 4th JUNE, 2013 from approx 4.30pm to when ever.

Emerald Lakes Golf Club at Carrara [cnr Alabaster Dve and Nerang Broadbeach Rd] entry from Alabaster Dve..........generally on a table in the main bar against the wall, near a glass screen next to the gaming room entry when it is possible, if not look for the sticker below.

Come along for an informal get together of local members, talk local fishing and other topics with a few laughs, and share the enjoyment of both alcoholic and non alcoholic gulp juice.

Look for this sticker on a table

Sorry no big fish pics, more a TOW story . The pic will shed a little bit of light on how the trip went, 24hrs to the top and back :(

Dave not the sort of picture we hoped to see, look forward to a gulp juice and explanation some time mate, but stay well in the interim.

At present the social night looks to be a minuscule event with the change to Tuesday, and only one guaranteed rep from each of the blue and maroon camps at present attending.

Was only a trio of GC AKFFers for this rescheduled social meet, with the club house nearly empty at 4.30 start.

Attending were Mick [Plasman], Wazza [Seadog], and Dodge.

The bevvies went down nicely and good to have a serious yarn on using placcies with Mick who has been enjoying success locally and at Wello Point, I needed info to try them at Hinze this winter, change of subject was interesting as well on industrial relations in the work place these days.

This led to us trying to implement a SOP for the GC social night, but discussions bogged down between the Coke and schooners drinkers, so we finished about 6.30 to gather ideas for the next meet back to the normal night on Wed July 3

Rod while we never know how many are coming along until the night, it's always a lot of fun, and in time you can often learn things about the local area, hope you can make it sometime.

With the odd exception, generally the FIRST Wednesday in any month.
