FF/GPS Combo

Postby imnotoriginal » Mon Apr 14, 2014 5:08 pm

Hey guys,

I'm about to upgrade my kayak and I'm looking at installing a sounder once I've got the kayak sorted.

I never bothered with the old kayak but I think it's time to man up and get one sorted with the new kayak so I've got a better idea of what's underneath me while I'm out there.

I've seen the special below and it seems a hell of a lot of sounder for the price (based on my limited knowledge).

Should I look at buying this or start with a base model and work my way up?

Thoughts?

As long as you stow it for launch & landing and wash the unit and electronic connection I dont see why you shouldn't bling the new yak up a bit. Better to spend the money once I reckon.

Haven't got any advice on the sounder but alot of guys are using that model & the lowrance of similar money does have water ingress problems so id say go for it.

Cheers guys,

Would be great to hear feedback from someone who has that model. I've sent a PM off to Nad.
