Iphone 4. Apps recommendations

Postby GMansfish » Sat Jun 11, 2011 9:47 am

Now I would not call myself a technologly Dodo, but I have resisted upgrading mobile phones over the years, to the point stuck with black and white screen for years (old red and gray Nokia) good phone built to last. My son kept asking when you going to get a phone with a camera in it, my reply was, "I will get a camera with a phone in it"

So after owning two Nokia mobiles myself, not counting the 10 to 15 that work as supplied over the years. Have signed up for the Iphone 4, well there is a bit of difference and having just joined the Itunes store (after ten years and two MacBook Laptops, slow on these changes in IT) spent hours searching thru (why is through not spelt thru? :? ) the Itunes store looking for "apps" so could anyone recommend a good GPS app for fishing, inland and offshore.

Bought Photoforge 2 yet to figure out and Guitar toolkit. Both cheap as, the guitar toolkit was $12.99 but it is so handy seems worth the money.

I am not a great game player as such, but have got Angry birds for son and Rocket Bunnies as well, any others I need for myself.

Would like to hear from others on AKFF what they have tried and tested in Apps or Games. ;-)

Cheers

Glenn

Words with Friends. Basically scrabble & you get to play with mates who have the same app loaded. My favourite at the moment

There is one utility app which I couldn't live without! Flashlight. Nothing like having a torch which is always handy in your pocket

Hmm I just wrote a post but it is not showing now.

Anyway have a look at Navionics for a gps app, I use it and love it.

Also look at an iDry case for taking on the water; it is fully functional.

Thanks Kraley, Kingdan, Plasman. It amazes me the apps they can put in one little machine. Shall take a while to check them all out.
