kayak easy loader

Postby Shorty » Tue May 05, 2009 12:10 am

Met an older chap the other day, he had a neat setup to load his prowler 13 onto his car,,easy peasy,, :D

Just two wheels on a frame that fits on the tow bar.

I missed taking the middle section photo,,but i think the square tube just came down and slotted in.

Interesting, with a bit of a rethink the yak trolley could be made to fit.
Swish go the thighs boys swish swish swish,
His legs may be huge but his yak's movin' quick.
The paddler strains and heaves but is beaten by a mile,
While the paddler catches up the swisher fishes for a while

You could extend it higher for tall 4x4 or passenger vans as well 8)

I like! Would love to make something similar but i lack a towbar. I wonder if you could do one that sits on the ground behind the car.
PB's off Yak: Who gives a shit. All about having fun paddling, fishing and taking photos :)

I saw one guy with his wheels on the boot,,the legs stuck to the boot with big suction cups, works pretty well,,i think he had a couple straps going into the boot for more support.
