VIC-Karkarook Park, Moorabbin

Go on then, tell us how you went...

VIC-Karkarook Park, Moorabbin

Postby lemoose » Sun May 06, 2012 12:27 am

Despite terrible weather, I went for a quick paddle at Karkarook Park Moorabbin, about half an hour before sunset.

Well worth it; caught my first fish from the kayak!

Targeting trout, I was trolling and casting a tassie devil 'brown trout colour'. Ended up landing a Redfin (35cm) - caught him near the main jetty.

My kayak fishing drought is broken,

Cheers!

That's a decent reddie.

Nice work. Suburban fishing is underrated.

If common sense was common, there would be more of it!

Nice reddie mate. Well done.

I didn't know you could get on to Karkarook park with a kayak. It's only a few minutes from work so I'll have to keep that in mind.
