Was based in Wagga for 8 years, and fly-fished the snowies regularly... have done it in winter, and seen the ice sprays on the rod-runners... I bought the Suzuki Sierra purposely to do the mountain tracks... However... the urge to do the hard scenes again is lost and gone forever... might have something to do with age...
After leaving Wagga, I felt that I was a misplaced trout fisho, and although I was reared up here on the Redcliffe Peninsula, took me ages to fit back in... did a lot of trips down South for the specklies, but since hitting the water in kayaks, I now have my salt-water mojo back.
Bugger the freezing fishing!

Unfortunately, they are dirtier than coal.
Some from Down South have been known to dislike the heat in Qld... but I wouldn't call them whingers, nor suggest they were a trifle unwashed.
Truthfully, Koich, wouldn't you really like to live in a place where in my entire life of 71 years, I've only ever heard of frosty mornings twice? My mother told me of the first one and the other instance, I actually went to wipe water off my windscreen and found it lumpy!
Cheers, Jimbo
