In Antarctica, monthly means at McMurdo Station range from −28°C (−18.4°F) in August to −3°C (26.6°F) in January.

The Hub is warmer

Problem solved

remember that the hub gets very busy around schoolies time.
most queensland teenagers dont want to go to the gold coast and seem to be travelling in droves of buses to the hub to camp on the banks of LBG and savour the atmosphere that is our nations fine capital.
indeed the gold coast is nearly deserted over christmas as many more families head down to "wander the halls of the old parliament house" with some strange old croc farmer from darwin who runs guided tours. you may even get to sit in on a session of parliament though tickets are harder to get than to a one direction concert.

add the masses of fans camped outside the lodge waiting for a glimpse of our first lady.(red hair to match the capitals prize fish the redfin)
and the place is indeed a hub of activity.

possible drawbacks of the hub would also include your yak loosening on the roofracks as you negotiate the occassional roundabout.
also the hub is home to a fine manufacturing and mining sector . this powers our economy and the taxes paid by these industries (the hub super profits tax) enable other cities in qld to enjoy such things as wonderful art galleries, war museums and national libraries.
the citizens of the hub then bath to remove the sweat and grime from their hard daily toil which has caused some silting problem in LBG.though it is possible this murkiness is due to ink, who knows?

i would head to darwin , brother wah will be able to direct you. ET" grooyte island as a waiter looks pretty good.

my youngest is heading down there for a school trip soon. i think they had trouble with accomodation so a few of the boys are staying at the speakers place.

back to greybalz question.

i think anywhere is fine. there are fishing options nearly everywhere. brother wah even had some very nice trout recently which would be awesome.
i cant stand being cold on the water so i dont even go out much in brisbane winters and in summer there are mozzies and midgees. then barra 's area has crocs :o :o .
i see youre in moe so there would be salmon and penguins down your way.

the place that always surprises me is sydney harbour and port phillip bay which both seem to produce some outsatnding fish.
