Notice this one is lying on top of the Lily Pad.

Besides been out in pissing down rain not too long ago, don't feel like a repeat.

Cheers

Nice fish Mark. It would appear my advice is of some use to everyone but me. I cant seem to get a fish to the boat this year. Last year I averaged three a day for a week. Another solid run ended in pulled hooks yesterday. We stayed out until 1pm with schools coming through of about only one an hour.

There are far fewer fish this year in much smaller pods, rarely breaking the surface for longer than a couple of splashes. So quick are they the birds seem to miss a good many. They come on in good numbers for 1-2 hours then the odd school after that swims through from north to south.

Slugs have been unreliable for the most part. Even the right profile landed in the middle of a boil are being ignored on most occasions. Drifted lp120s are averaging 1-2 hits a session but didnt get a touch today. Slugs were also treated with disdain.
Lobbing 3" jerkshads into a good baitball on the sounder seems to be getting the best results this week. Today I sounded a massive ball and moments later the best boil of the day erupted around me. Ten money shot slug casts were ignored, lures drifted behind untouched.

Alas the swell has lifted quite a bit this afternoon with predictions of 3m+ by tomorrow. Lots of wind and rain predicted too. Thursday is looking like the next good day at the moment.

That's a good fish & a top effort getting it in. I dream about being able to get out to waters holding fish like that, I envy your exploits with tuna of that size.
