Hi
This is my 1st post and 1st time fishing out of my new kayak perception tribe 11.5.
Went chasing Bass @ my brother inlaws cattle farm out at Murgon QLD,It nice to have your own river running through your farm.
Had a great time landed 12 Bass for 3 hours on the water.Biggest went 35cm.
I am so glad I got rid of the stink boat.

Welcome to the yak fraternity, nice bass too. I used to dream of being able to afford a boat also, not now.

Great first trip report, expecially seeing as it's a fish many chase but never catch, myself included.

As for the boat, Imine stopped being used the day I bought a kayak. It's still usefull if I want to take the family or others out for a day but I dread using it.

[quote="BrisbaneJamie"]Stu firstly I'm squealing like a girl on the inside with excitement
Jamie your hit the nail on the head, what a great feeling to go out in a kayak that cost 600 bucks and catch more fish than I did in the boat that cost 12K in the last 4 trips.
It was my 1st go @ Bass fishing as well. What a great sport fish they are ,
I was more exited catching the 1st bass that was only went 20cm long than I was the 1st Cobia that went 25kg.
It must be the KISS principle, (keep it simple stupid)
I may have a problem now just went out and brought $100 worth of Bass lures.

Haha well the Dealer always says the first one's free :D Seriously though it's so good to see such a successful first trip targeting such a prized fish, I know I'd be feeling awesome.

I'm sorry to hear about your new addiction Stu, it's time to inform the missus you'll need a bigger shed to house your next kayak, and if you're name is Wayne, maybe plan for a few more after that. :p
