Palmy army?

Postby BIGKEV » Sat Mar 24, 2012 9:25 am

Is any body from the 'army' heading out tomorrow Sunday 25/3 ?

I've got an opportunity to go somewhere and with the amount of rain on the sunny coast over last week I don't think it's an option.

Forecasts are very different between sea breeze and willyweather so first hand reports from those on the coast would be welcome.

Forecast dropped away consistently, Ant the wave wisperer has predicted ordinay conditions also. I'm on the juice now watching a GWS get eaten by a Swan so chances are I'll be in bed late with a hangover tomorrow....

Wasn't really looking for someone to go with, I have absolutely no problem going on my own, but there is obviously safety in numbers. I was really looking for an informed opinion on the weather down the coast and what could be expected in the morning. As I have to drive 1.5hrs at "you've got to be kidding o'clock", I didn't really want to turn up finding crap conditions that even the locals wouldn't go out in and turn around and drive home again. Chasing something else in the creeks or seaway would not have happened either as generally I don't just go 'fishing', I chase a particular target so take a specialised set of gear for each trip, so once there with my offshore pelagic gear, other fishing options really would not be viable.

There is always another time, I won't ruin my enjoyment on getting away by putting myself in a position where I can be injured or break or lose gear that I have worked hard to acquire.

Work is starting to settle again, so there may be an opportunity for a good weather mid weeker in the near future.
