G'day from Mt Perry Qld

Postby majack » Wed Mar 14, 2012 7:08 pm

This is my first post on the forum. I live in Mt Perry Qld in close proximity to the beautiful Burnett river, Mingo Crossing and Paradise Dam. I have had a Viking Tempo 2 Fisherman yak for about 4 years and hope to get out more often with my wife and 18 year old son. In a past life I lived at Normanton in the Qld Gulf and absolutely loved trolling for barra etc. I have recently bought a second hand Minn Kota 28 lb thrust electric motor so I can lazily troll down the Burnett river. I am chasing up some ideas to build a transom mount bracket to fit the electric motor, If anybody has any simple ideas to make one I would be interested to know. I hope to catch up and share ideas with other yakkers. Cheers

Was the purple pub purple when you were at Normanton?

Welcome to the forum. Please tell me you weren't in a kayak at Normanton. Should be less chance of being eaten in the Burnett.

Yes the Purple pub in Normanton was in fact purple when I left it there approx 12 years ago.

No I wasn't in a kayak at Normanton. I had a little 12 foot punt. Mind you it was probably smaller than my kayak1
