Postby JET01 » Wed Feb 01, 2012 6:17 am

Thanks to everyone that helped me out with the rigging of my yak. And also thanks to all the guys that answered questions regarding what tackle to buy.

Nice Ride. Got to get myself one of those live wells when I finally come into money again.

I like your setup mate. I'm in the process of rigging up a Revo. Tossing up between the sail mast Fish finder mount or a gunwhale mount such as yours. i have the same rod holder placement with the ram tubes, so if it is gunwhale mounted it will need to be where yours is. My question is, does the sounder get in the way if you want/need to paddle ?

Mate it's pretty rare that I use my paddle. And you can just use the other side. I take a stake out pole with me sometimes which means I have to use both side storages. I tried to keep the port side of the kayak completely free. The paddle doesn't ever get in the way of fishing. I'd keep the sail mount free just in case you wind up getting a camera mount. You can get a wedge mount from RAM that fits in the sail mount so that if later on you decide to get a sail you wont have to unscrew the fish finder bracket.
