Instructional DVD for kayakers

Postby robpax » Tue Nov 29, 2011 9:54 pm

Hi to all the fellow yakers out there.

Hope you are getting out as often as possible

An update: I have re-released a revised version of my instructional DVD "Fishing with Rob Paxevanos" Vol 1

As many of you will know it has loads of kayak fishing.

It is available at some tackle stores and kayak retailers, but I have finally been able to get it available on line for those that couldn't find it, and have re released it.

Topics include:

How to catch fish on a budget.

How to catch flathead on softie in detail and some bream on lure fishing
(including Captain Kev Australias undisputed number 1 lure fisho.)
]
Essential Knots, Rigs, Choosing Rods Reels etc

Jewfish on plastics in detail

How to catch bream on bait.

Offshore/bay flattys, kings and snapper (beginner to intermediate stuff)

How to catch impoundment barra in detail

Advanced Barra Trolling.

Kayak Barra including a 70 pound ripper that towed a young 10 year old angler 100's of meters through a forrest of drowned timber-at night. Gob smacking, it was hard enough to follow him with the camera!

Kayak Marlin (the original one, re mastered): Small snippet at:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29YY441wQBA

etc

I am keen to hear from yakers out there who have the DVD and have some feedback; what you liked, disliked, what topics you would like to see. I am working on the next one and I will factor in any reasonable suggestions, beginner, intermediate or advanced.

Pics and more detail etc at http://www.robpax.com

Look forward to the feedback.

Thanks Barry, much appreciated.

Just one little space and the whole click thru doesn't work!

Should read www.robpax.com (no space between the dot and the com)

Hi Rob,

I loved that first DVD especially the Barra and Jewfish segments.

Info on how we actually go about catching them, the type of rigs and lures we are best using over what terrain, etc.

Barra particulary for me as I havent ventured north hunting them yet was an assume segment. I have been trying to get up to monduran every since.

Appreciate this Eagle

Covered flathead on plastics in full detail, but agree some underwater shots can really help.

Whiting sounds good, really have to get the lure moving right for consistent results, underwater shots would help even more here.

Doing lots freshwater stuff too while the country is wet.

Thanks too Dave.

The houseboat (mothership) kayak barra trip was in my top 10 all time best trips ever.

If I didn't have to film such a wide variety of fishing in my scedule I'd be there right now...

Mal Gray from Sunstate Hobie was there, and he agrees and so does my cam man and soundo...incredible, even up againt the many iconic destinations I've been lucky enough to fish around Australia.

Kindest
