Rapala Xrap Subwalk

Postby fishoboy » Sun Nov 06, 2011 5:28 pm

I recently picked up a few of these lures, some in size 9cm and some in the 7cm [urlhttp://www.rapala.com/products/lures/x-rap_subwalk/][/url]. Got a couple of different colours, glass ghost, clown, gold olive and orange gold orange.

I've not had an opportunity to hit the water with them yet - and frankly am not sure that the sort of fish that inhabit the waters I fish (Bass in the fresh - bream, whiting, flatties in the salt) are going to go for this lure (bass maybe). However today I gave one of the lures a test run in my pool and I have to say I was very impressed by the action. I have been having a play in the pool trying to pick up the walk the dog technique with my K9 Walker and the top water version of the Xrap walker, without great success, but this subwalker was very easy to get a good action going and it looks just fabulous.

Has anybody used and had success?

Looks like I'm alone with this lure. Have to give it a good crack and see if it works as well as it looks.

Thanks SLB. What size were you using to get the Bass and Bream?

I'm pretty sure I have one of these and I'm taking it to Moreton in a month's time. Fingers crossed some of the pelagics that hang around the Tangalooma Jetty like it
