Kayak Testing / Review Team - (Sydney based)

Postby SydneyHarbourKayak » Fri Sep 30, 2011 10:03 am

Sydney Harbour Kayaks are on the look out for a small team of dedicated kayak fishos that would be willing to write independent reviews of the different kayaks we have access to.

Brands we would like evaluated:
Pelican Kayaks
Elie kayaks
Boreal Design Kayaks
Bic kayaks
Wilderness Systems kayaks

the reviews would be posted on this forum as well as our website.

if anyone is interested, please contact me on though our facebook interactive area http://www.facebook.com/seakayaking

Regards
Shannon

More than happy to & I am pretty sure I could rustle up some others.

The terms would be simple:

Kayaks to be delivered to pre-selected spot at 5am sharp.
AKFF participants will arrive in time for the pre-fish Bacon and Egg roll & coffee
Participants to then depart launch for an indeterminate length of time (will vary depending on weather / fishing / mood)
Participants will then return for another feed / drink before hopping in their cars and heading home to write a trip report on what an awesome time they had.

Don't trust Facebook so I will wait for your PM

When you're ready to have them tested in northern conditions give me a call, they may come back a bit grubby though.

I am tipping Shannon wont come to the party

I am also tipping we wont see any posts soon from Shannon that are not geared toward driving traffic to his new facebook site

I further tip that the above tipping may bring Shannon back to the forum to defend the thinly veiled attempt to let everyone know what brands of kayaks are sold at his store

i'll stop being cranky now

I just sent these exact words to one of my panel lawyers but they also apply to you:

That’s a nasty suspicious mind you have there …

This is and was a legitimate request - it is something I truely thought would be of interest to the members of this forum.

I find it very interesting there are members that come across so negative without any justification.

We run a solid kayaking operation and yes we need to promote - I have never attempted to hide this fact.

To the members that wish to be involved please contact me directly at Sydney Harbour Kayaks.

Gary,

I don't want to sound too harsh mate, but I really do think your comments about Shannon are totally out of line. Far too often people here think it's OK to have a go at our commercial members merely because they percieve a conflict of interest.

That is not the case here and you know it. I have offered Shannon my services and personally apologised to him, so he knows we aren't all insensitive blockheads. Personally I would like to see more involvement from those in the industry, not less.
