I had my maiden voyage on the AI on Sunday.I launched from Bolton Point on the west side of Lake Macquarie. Had a few minor hiccups rigging up but sorted it out eventually. The wind was not kind but when a gust came through the sail would fill and off it would go.They are a great yak and will be a lot of fun to sail.I recommend them to everyone. I didn't do any fishing
but there were a lot showing up on the fishfinder.I was surprised how easy it was to pedal compared to the outback. I was expecting it to be harder and slower with the outriggers ,furled sail and extra weight but I was pleasently surprised and I think it was faster than the Outback. The Adventure through life will certainly be enhanced now I have made the jump to the AI.
Cheers,
Terry.
