Feb Fishing Comp - WINNERS ANNOUNCED

Hi all, the second 2010 Fishing Comps will be run 6 Feb to 14 Feb 2010.

New Rules and Format can be found here: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=34723

Please note that there have been two minor adjustments to the rules - detailed in the above link:

# An angler can only enter the same species up to 3 times in the competition year
# Target lengths for species may be adjusted during the year at the Organisers discretion.

All entries can be posted in this thread. Please include the following details when entering:

Wow, this makes it really interesting!!!! This little gem should test a few I reckon.

ohh poor qld'ers can't decide which fish to enter to many choices, why not come down to NSW or VIC then you can enter bream, whiting, flathead, kingfish, jewfish, bass, trout, EP's, snapper, yellowbellies, leatherjacket, and Bonito. Theres one for every month so I can fish for a different species an never get bored catching the same old thing. :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: :lol: :lol: :lol:

Same species only 3 times a year!!!!!!! Hell whatta ma I gunno do after March when I have 3 redfin in? Looks lime it is either carp or travel for 6 months.

Species Legal Length: (legal length 35cm)
Type and Size/Weight of Fish: Estuary Cod 55cm
Tackle/Line/Lure Used: Berkley Drop Shot rod in 4-8kg and Shimano Stradic 4000 running 20lb braid and 40lb leader to a 7/0 Octopus cirlce and size 1 ball sinker.
Conditions (optional): Top of the tide and 5 knots of breeze at 3:30am
Other Comments (optional): Took this fella out from amongst a horde of catfish and BIG rays after a 1:30am launch to hit the top of the tide. Plan Worked.

Conditions (optional): wind gusting to 20 kts
Other Comments (optional): 6 of us tried for a number of hours, with this being the only whiting landed.

conditions; water filthy
comments: went down to get salt water for aquarium but water so fresh and dirty had to go out a kilometre to get clean water. trolled lure on the way. didnt see red
