Then went to work on the pedals

- this is the semmy finished product
cut out some pedals and attached to 2 brass hinges per side .bolted through to aluminium plate suports inside the yak .
drilled 2 holes for the stearing rope [ 4 mm spectra ]and tubing and 2 holes at the back for exeting ropes. also attached rubber matting front and back to waterproof entry and exit stearing holes .

- notice the tubing
added some turn buckles [ not needed ]and some heavy shock cord to the pedals so that pedals atomatically return to centre

- just needs a tidy up
this project took over 3 days to compleat ,at a cost of about $20 [spectra]as everything else came out of my and my inlaws garage.
it works an absolute treat
can turn on itself at slow speeds and holds the yak in a strong wind ,ive even tested it under sail and it all good
