ANNOUNCEMENT: Trip Report Comp - FIRST MAJOR WINNER

Postby leftieant » Wed Jun 16, 2010 12:52 pm

Afternoon Folks

Well, thanks to YAK FISHER MAGAZINE, the Trip Report Comp has been going very well. There have been some excellent articles entered, some great competition, and some very deserving winners selected.

You may recall that every quarter (3 months), one of the lucky monthly winners will be selected by Yak Fisher Magazine, and will be given the opportunity to work with the Yak Fisher Editorial team to develop an article for publication in an upcoming edition.

I am very pleased to announce that our first major prize winner is...

[drum roll please]

BERTROS!

The winning entry can be found at http://www.akff.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=39133

Congratulations Matt - a brilliant entry, and a thoroughly deserved win. Rob from Yak Fisher will be in touch shortly with further details. Not only does Matt win the opportunity to have an article published, but also takes home a $100 AFN Shop Voucher, thanks to YAK FISHER MAGAZINE.

I would encourage everyone to get on board with the Trip Report Comp - between us all we have some fantastic adventures, and some brilliantly written articles, and a comp such as this is a great way to showcase them.

I look forward to seeing plenty more entries in the Trip Report Comp in the coming months!
Cheers

Ant

Thanks guys.. it's an amazing opportunity that i honestly never considered when writing the report but chomping at the bit to have a go.

Hoping too that comp this gives everyone an extra little reason to make their outing readworthy... it's fantastic place already, but upping the stakes in the fishing yarn department could make things even more interesting.

Now i've won the thing, you're welcome to start giving the comp more of a plug.
cheers,
matt
