No, I have no rod tube, but it is on my after market list.

As for a look at one, depends on where you are. NSW, pm Kas, palmymick in Queensland.

Mate, Bazzoo has a 465 in Sydney and some of the Monavale boys have just got the ultimate paddle yak the Stealth 550 Fisha after selling their Evo 495's. i am sure any of them would let you discover the Stealth experience. I have also recently got a 550 fisha, so fast yet so stable, it obsoletes every other paddle yak i own. To paddle one is to want to own one.

Is eric ready to trade up to a 550 yet or still happy with the Splash?

I'll give you $100 if you promise to take the crap paddle as well, but the seat of Peril follows me.

I'd certainly go a 550. I don't need to, but I would. I mean, it's only four kilos heavier but I can put so much more kit into a 550 Manbag.

I can just see you walking the streets of Moe with your 5 1/2 metre manbag. Did you ever see "The Plank"?

Yeah.

Kayaks don't register in the visual field of Moe residents. They've got nothing to do with the police or child protection, they can't be smoked or drank and they can't do burnouts or be driven in endless stoned blockies.

QED - they don't exist.

You need the crap paddle to swat the bogans.

Thanks Bazoo
The Evo's look good but the weight has got me a bit bluffed (in glass) My Hobie Adventure ways about the same I think and is a pig of a thing on land and I don't worry too much about scratching it :D That was the main reason for leaning towards the splash - I don't think I need that much storage and would trade it for less weight I think
That and I reckon if i paddle one I will have to have it no matter how heavy

I have recently been talking to Des about a paddle in a Splash and he is trying to organise a demo day at Curumbin I think in about three weeks time. I for one will be there and ready to buy on the day ! If I hear any more info and definite dates I will post for members to attend.

Hobie does have a reverse, it is exactly the same gear as all the other Yaks have!

Does anyone know how much the Splash sells for? They seem like a great kayak, I cant believe its 4.7 x 0.66 and only 17kg, it must go like a rocket!
