A pair of 6'6" 8-15lb spin sticks

Postby sandyfreckle » Fri Mar 18, 2011 11:15 am

Gday.

I'm just putting the last touches on a pair rods I've done up for two mates of mine.

One is a die hard Adelaide Crows fan and wanted old style binding done in Crows colours - as much as I tried, I couldn't talk him out of it...

The other one wanted something a bit more "different"... almost bordering on tacky & tasteless. "Well, if that's what you want..." I said and chose bright green, purple, silver and white details on for black wraps.

Personally, I prefer the gaudy purple & green one - not because of my affection towards Port Adelaide, I just reckon it looks pretty ok.

The blanks are two piece, 6'6" (1.98m), 8-15lb (4-7kg) MHX graphite, fast action & medium power. The guides are Pacific Bay, the real seat is Fuji and the grips are St Croix cork.

I hope the recipients will be happy with them and that they pull in some passable fish.

Cheers.

Any chance of a close up of the guides & butt wraps, the pics are a little dark and I cant quiet make out the detail.

If you click on the photos they'll become a bit bigger so you can see them a bit better.

Hi Sandy,

In your opinion are these the same as G Loomis? Rumour has it the MHX are home brand Loomis. What do you reckon?

I was thinking of something like this as a snapper plastics rod.
