Free Rod Builders Spares - Fuji Guides

Postby DrJed » Thu Apr 02, 2009 3:19 pm

I have a spinning rod which is broken :? beyond repair :( and I had only just had the guides replaced
It was my fave rod for I don't know how long has been forcibly reduced to a 3 piece after drifting under a tree. So now I have a fishing rod with some almost brand new guides on it and I am about to throw it out...and the new guides have only seen 3 trips.

There are about 6 guides including the tip - all are Fuji single foot guides for a spinning rod. i am unsure of the specs but they were not expensive (a tackle shop charged me $80 to replace them all)

The only thing I think the rod is good for now is spare parts, as I say the guides are nearly new and has a cork grip which may or may not be of any use. Could be good for anyone starting out building rods to 'test' with.

Happy to assist with getting the bits to anyone who wants them, I am in Brisbane but do venture up and down the coast for fishing purposes.

PM me if your interested

Cheers
Steve

Dont chuck it mate, surely someone up there could put them to good use.
Turn up with a few ambers under your arm sit out the back n strip her down, good excuss to meet a fellow KF.
You might be able to save the front grip to if its any good, you cant nomally twist the front ones off, the rears to hard to get off and the reel seats not worth the hassle unless it a good one.

cheers
Stu.

Cheers Stu - Yeah Arpie is interested in giving the guides a second chance at life, so will sort out the logistics and get them off down South.
