I think you can't go past the Black Wolf Dragonfly I mentioned earlier in the thread.
I've been looking at tents for a while and this one seems to tick all the boxes.

I am looking at a hiking style tent for the possibility of some kayak camping during the warmer months. I have spotted a few that have caught my eye:
Black wolf stealth mesh: http://blackwolf.com.au/adventure1000078/stealth-mesh/
Darche hybrid: http://www.darche.com.au/tents/hybrid.html
DMH huon: http://www.wildearth.com.au/huon-person ... p-268.html
Does anyone have any experience with any of these? At the moment I am leaning towards the darche, purely because of the low weight and cost (around $100). Anyone want to talk me out of it??

Just a option to throw your way but has anyone checked out the Ray Jardine tarp set ups?
I only camp a couple of times a year but I love the tarp set up, so lightweight and simple and u can cook under it if the weather is bad.
One of my best mates is a mad keen hiker and he uses the tarp set up all the time even in a Tassie winter up the highlands(read snow)!
Anyway check out his website http://www.rayjardine.com/

That's an interesting site and prompter for more research. Thanks for posting. Have you experienced heavy rain with a tarp setup?
