Absolute arse mate - but as others have said; good to hear that the damage is on the hardware. It doesn't heal, but it hurts a whole lot less.

Grabbed the front brakes? Or not enough?

Oh I still hurt Red don't you worry about that. Grabbed both brakes locked up the back and slid on its side into the back of the car. The bike is actually not as bad as I first thought. Ripped off the damaged fairings, everything is still straight so get a new headlight and indicators and I now have myself a naked bike.

Glass half full, right?

Wow. Scary stuff. Not what you expect when keeping your eyes peeled for roos, potholes and magpies.

Took mine for a long overdue run on Father's Day. It felt a bit weird, but I thought that was just me. Turned onto the highway and it oversteered to buggery. I almost dropped it. Death wobbled my way around every corner until I got to Bodalla.

Front tyre was 5 psi.

GS's are tough - just about the ideal starter bike; they take the knocks and come up kicking still.

Yeah, the brake grab is a natural reaction, that really only gets whacked on the head with time and practice mate.

There's a guy down here that rides a posty bike to the beach, with a surfboard on a side rack.
Obviously stays at home whe there's cross winds.
