Gale force winds, clearing showers, swells to 3.5m......whats the go, we still up for it?

Maybe even a late change to Sunday which is exspected to be 19 and fine for the whole state?

Im easy but, the wind really pisses me off

Cheers

I'm still going to turn up and if it is hopeless I think we should just evaluate the options then. If in fact it turns out to be gale force I won't be getting the hobie off the car - will have to think of a few different options, like look at the wooden boat centre, go to banjo's at Huonville nd eat a dozen pies and sausage rolls, and find a cafe and read the paper. I can think of plenty of things to do if the conditions are as described... hobie ain't goin nowhere!

Robb, I have your stuff in a box ready to go tomorrow.

Yeah probably a good option, get down there and if it's blowing a gale just bail out ;-) I do know of a sheltered river that cuts off the main river though :D

James, great cant wait to see the collection. 8)

"swell to 3.5" You numpty....theres no swell in Huonville ol boy :o    But I know what ya mean, it might be a bit brisk early on BUT with the bend in the river just downstream from the ramp and the hills on the right hand side of the river if your heading upstream, I reckon there will be some fishable water.

Closest tide forcast ive seen was Hobart, 1.18m at about 8am for tomorow, no idea how far off Huonville is from that. Doesnt seem any higher than normal but with the winds we have had I can only imagine the amount of water pushed towards us in the form of swell and waves, Im sure it would be enough to top up the tides down your way Scott.

Ive got ya waders packed Robb, even gave them a wash so you have to come down now  Ive got the big red machine on the car allready, gear is packed and Im ready to roll 8)

I plan to get there between 7:30 and 8[ meaning I'll try for 7:30 but I know what im like so 8 is a fair bet]

Cheers

To Wrassman, Scott, Baldy, Col etc and others interested

Just thought I would post here again as mention was made previously of Lake Skinner. I went there on Sunday (20/04/08) for the first time with a couple of mates. What an awesome place, couldn't have picked a better day. If you want to see the photo's send me a PM and I will send you the link to my photo's.

regards
