Excellent! glad the advice helped! I had a bit of luck elsewhere in Canberra today (non yak) and got a nice fat yellow belly from LBG. Posting here earlier today gave me the itch to get out, so cheers :)

I might get out there for a yak on the pond Sunday arvo pedning wife, kids etc etc. Good luck on Friday arvo!

Good result for an hours effort there! My plans for Sunday did not come together but got two hours fishing the snags from the bank, caught nothing and lost lures :x

When are you next yakking the pond?

My Sunday plans for Googong didn't happen and I am keen for somewhere other than LBG so if Sunday is a goer I will make the trip over for some fishing time.

I will know for sure SAT I'll drop another post then. Me and a mate have honed in on a nice little spot there that has bought about some nice size reddies...Still good fun on light tackle and the chance of scorig a native i guess too.

Would be late arvo for me......I have already got a shore based fish outing Sat morning and it can be pretty hard for me to get two outings in one weekend, but not out of the question entirely.

maybe we should organise something more solid the following weekend (i.e. I plan a yak trip instead of shore based) and do the pond for a few hours.

I will get back to you anyway and let you know how I am placed.
