This one Fiddy?

Agree we go for somewhere with multiple camping spots this time, folks can fish where and when they like. Everyone got together for a brew at night last year, so i don't think this will hinder that too much.

And of course folks can camp at honeymoon bay across JB, subject to defence opening the range on the weekend in question. It's a first in best dressed situation, so good for the last minuters.

Greenpatch only needs to be booked in school holidays and is on my list of places I like to go camping/fishing etc I take a short drive down to the boat ramp at Murrays Beach.
There are other places like Depot - been done but is my absolute favorite spot, South Durras with easy launching and a plethora of places to fish, Tuross, Wagonga, Mumaga, Mystery Bay, Corunna Lake, Bermagui, Wapengo and the Bega river at Tathra. Camping is available near any of them and they all fish well (Mystery bay is a mystery - haven't fished there as it requires a surf launch and I haven't tried there under favourable conditions) although I can't say I enjoyed sharing my tent with the rats at Wapengo.

Bream comps in Victoria won't worry me...

Cheers

and I forgot Barlings Beach. there is a caravan park right on the beach with walking access to a serene surf launch in the corner which is sheltered from most directions and a great spot to paddle. It also has easy access to Clyde River and associated Batemans Bay beaches, Moruya River, Tomaga River (??) and Tuross isn't all that far away.

Really is a top spot

cheers

Potter potter potter

This could be Barling's revisited, the gathering that was THE gathering back in the day.

"God" is not an explanation. It's a placeholder for those lacking the courage, or the intellectual honesty to say "I don't know"

Couldn't stop reading that old report. Looked like a great time. I had to Google where Barling's was cause I don't get out much  I think I'll visit that place.

Ooooh. Tantalising.

To be rational, I think a mother boat would be a must. I went out on a charter a few weekends ago. The shore looks much further away than Montague does from the shore, if you catch my drift. Also, the Kingies fire in Autumn, not Spring, down this way.

now your talking... the only reason I have not tried to get out to Montague is the common sense thing about that kind of trip as a lone paddler...

Rinse and repeat? :D
