mate I'm not quite your size 105 kg and 6'2"I have owned and would suit you no problems.

Ocean Kayak Prowler 4.1 and 4.7
Hobie Outback
Hobie Proangler14

Pretty much I'd be looking for around a 4m sit on top at least 700mm wide but would be better around 800-900. If your a keen surfer/ sportmans etc and have good balance a skinner yak could be the go but the big guys usually like the wider models.

A good alrounder is hard to find if your after paddle have a look at the Prowler 4.1 if your after peddle the outback or the proangler.

Bit m ore info would help us point you more in the right direction, Like peddle or paddle, fishing or fittness, big ocean or bread and butter species

I haven't even seen either of the yaks you mentioned so can't comment on them.

Cheers Hedgy

I matched you in height and weight when I bought my Hobie Tandem Island 2 months ago. I now use it 3-4 times a week and have lost 12kg so far!

....and have never had so much fun in my life!

I'm 110kg n find outback stable as hell in the ocean n still light enough to put on roof racks by yourself. It's not to bad to paddle but peddles are welcomed in swell n strong currents. Pretty sure it's rated to 180kg. Hope this helps.

All these Kayaks are expensive. At least you would find a PA second hand but the other two would be a strugle and yes the TI can be used with one but has an option to take the missus or a mate.

I have tried the coosa it was a great stable yak and would be a good buy for calm waters (great Bass yak) BUT !! I think if you are going to fish in strong current waters I would go for the Cuda. I was in the same possition , I wanted the PA 14 aircraft carrier but then a smaller yak for Bass fishing. I ended up going for a Hobie outback as I think is a good crossover yak and leaves your hands free in faster waters to cast. TRY before you BUY. Look at where you are going to do most of your fishing and buy the yak to suit the conditions also think about if you want/need to stand in the yak. :D
No you cant park your car in there ! Thats for all my toys.
