Yep, thanks for linking that; I got the idea from one of Josh Holme's reveiws but i cant find it since he changed sites. Thats what I am thinking about, except the planks would cover the whole area that a tram would so i could use it for a casting deck, the other side would be a normal tramp.

And thats a shame Slide, Im going to keep the prowler as a yak for mates to come out in and to do some fishing for spaniards of maroocydore, it was a great starting kayak and it really got me into the sport. :D

How tall are you rack? I'm considering a prowler 13 and I'm 190cm

Well just maybe everyone who sells an AI is buying a TI instead so they can share the fun. Otherwise your comment is just totally baseless.

I have an Adventure not a AI and wanted to say to you that I purchased the sail kit for mine and now realize that YOU NEED outriggers of some description on it to sail better. Believe me, it's true! It's my next purchase. I'm 6' tall and not cramped sitting in it all day.

I assume that this is supposed to be humour...

I've had mine since 2008 and still love it to bits... great yak, very practical, very versatile and so much fun it should be illegal.

cheers

I have thought about it and it would work. The amas have a lot of buoyancy. What material would you have the deck of ?

Maybe better than the slats Jack.....

I had a sail maker manufacture tramps from the material that is used on the big cats & trimarans. It is about 50 % void, so doesn't catch the wind, but is mega strong and even a fatty like me can easily stand on it. In fact, at SWR early this year, I caught a 1.5 whaler shark, thought it was stuffed, and hauled it up on to the right tramp.

Well it was just resting, and came to life, leaping off the right tramp onto the centre hatch, teeth towards my jewels, and snapping as it came. In one extraordinary display of long lost athleticism, I leapt from the seat onto the left tramp to save the jewels. The whole 90+ kgs (of pure muscle  ) landed on the tramp, with no breakages. When i looked back the shark's teeth were firmly locked onto the seat material ... whey!

Might be the way to go Jack. Though stiffer than the Hobie tramps, they can be rolled up. I also had pockets sewn on (same material) for tackle boxes, food water, net gaff, and priest. Being 50 % void, they have unlimited attachment points with 4mm bungy.

Will post a photo.

I found exactly what i was thinking about, except for the umbrellas. Not a thin stip of wood but rather a whole deck.
