AKFF COMMERCIAL POLICY - PLEASE READ

AKFF is a non commercial forum. All commercial members are asked to read and comply to the following..

AKFF welcomes those who are in the kayak or fishing related businesses and invites them to contribute to the forum by sharing their knowledge and involving themselves in discussions and forum banter. However we do require that our commercial members abide by some rules and regulations, to ensure that AKFF remains a truly independent place to discuss all aspects of kayak fishing. As such, we ask all commercial members to read and abide by the following policy.

1. DISCLOSURE BY COMMERCIAL MEMBERS

AKFF members who are involved (in a paid capacity or via sponsorship) within the fishing/kayak/related trade MUST declare their commercial affiliations via a line underneath your signature (eg: 'Hobie Dealer-Perth', 'Manager - Yaks R US', 'Daiwa Team Angler' etc'). Go into USER CONTROL PANEL and select 'EDIT SIGNATURE' then add the details. Website links in your signature are OK, however links to other forums will not be permitted. Please note - your signature line should be a disclosure, not an ad.

2. ADVERTISING BY COMMERCIAL MEMBERS

AKFF members who are involved in the kayak/tackle trade and who have reached a minimum of 50 posts PLUS 3 months membership on AKFF are welcome to post information and advertise their products in the commercial section free of charge. In order to do so, these members must submit the details into the "drafts' section of the commercial area and this will then be approved by a moderator and made public. Only one thread per product/store/member will be permitted in the commercial section.

AKFF commercial members with less than 50 posts and/or 3 months membership of AKFF are NOT able to advertise on the site during this probationary period

3. INFORMATION / FORUM USE BY COMMERCIAL MEMBERS

All commercial members are invited to join in general forum chat and share advice/ideas and information as per any other member. However, we prefer that you do not make any sales or product offers within any posts outside the commercial area (eg you are not permitted to advertise prices or point members towards your store unless it is in an approved commercial area thread). Any posts which breach this policy may be edited at moderator discretion, and the member will be pm'd to remind them of our site policy. Continued breaches of this area will result in loss of privileges.

It is forbidden for a commercial member to try and 'sabotage' another commercial members thread in the commercial section. This will result in an immediate warning and possible banning to the commercial member in question at moderators discretion.

4. PARTICIPATION IN AKFF

All 'commercial' members will be required to have a regular participation in 'non'commercial' areas of AKFF. Our minimum requirement is that 75% or more of your posts are non-commercial. This requirement is to prevent spammers from abusing our goodwill.

PLEASE NOTE- products to be shown on this section are not endorsed or recommended by AKFF - we merely provide a location where commercial members can showcase their products and its up to individual members to make their own purchase decisions.

Breaches of our commercial policy may result in loss of priveleges.

The above restrictions are in place to ensure the impartiality of AKFF and ensure that all members can speak freely about any subjects or products that are of interest to them. Please respect this viewpoint.
