No, but after reading about it on Wikipedia I'm going to have to get the video.

Leave it exactly as it is - if you cant debate without resorting to written intimidation or by being impolite then you shouldnt be on here. Off topic is a great area a place where we can discuss anything from the trvial ( my post on steak and wine :D ) to the serious stuff ie racism when that Michael Jackson Skit was discussed. If you dont like it then dont bother reading it. :D

And that's why there is a report button. I think you all know where it is.

Not a single report on that thread, from any member, whether arguer, arguee, or spectator.

Not seeing any reason to change. This isn't Pleasantville - just because something gets a little uncomfortable or some people start squirming in their seat, doesn't automatically mean it is going to get the kiss of death.

When I saw the title for this thread I thought it was going to be about when people introduce a totally different subject than what the title suggests. You know, like when things take a left turn and then someone else grabs the wheel and turns it again and so on and before you know it, you're like in a different city to where you started, which can make things really confusing, especially if you have to be somewhere at a certain time, like the doctors, or dentist, yeah, that's right, the dentist cause I have a toothache from eating too much junk lately, but that's only cause I'm stressed.......... man, i think I need to go have a lay down, maybe everybody should just have a lay down ......... oh, what were we talking about again??

Blimey this is an interesting subject. It started out with politics, got into a little bit of abuse, followed up with a liberal dose of naval gazing and lecturing, then as always finished off with sex. Blimey all that's missing is religion. So in order to show people how far off topic an off topic post can go how about we all post something about that.

I'll start it off with a "I'm a Tyke and I'm proud of it because ours is the one true religion". ;-)

PS I know this to be true because of a story I once heard. This Protestant minister was standing outside the Pearly Gates looking in anxiously when an old white bearded man with a name badge indicating he was the concierge introduced himself as Peter. "Welcome to Heaven" he said, extending a firm but friendly handshake. "What religion are you my son". "Protestant and proud of it" said the minister. "Some Protestant's are welcome here, especially those of the clergy who have done many good deeds in their lifetime. Please come right in and take the path to the left" said Peter. As the minister approached the fork in the path he noticed a massive ugly brick wall smack dab down the middle of heaven. Somewhat bemussed he walked back and in a rather annoyed and agitated tone asked the concierge what the wall was about. Peter put his finger to his mouth, winked and mouthed the words "please keep it down". "I don't believe it" said the minister, as if it isn't difficult enough for a Protestant to get here. And when I do I find this huge wall running the full length of heaven. And you want me to keep quiet about it". Look, I really must insist you keep it down a little please" said Peter. "And why is that said the minister?" "Because the Catholics are on the other side of that wall, and they think they are the only ones here" said St Peter.

I personally think they are fine, but they lack the joy of life that a decent hit of smartarsery can provide.

WOW, just had a look at this thread....then the dog thread....then back here again....hmm..... :?

All I can add is....

I REALLY love this time of year! Work is done, pressure is off, days are getting longer (fit in 2 hour fish before breakfast), cruising into Christmas. Time to catch up with people I've been slack with all year, eat too much, drink too much, bludge too much, looking forward to doing the big family thing and re-grouping ready for whatever next year brings.

How about you people?
