Sidelined since June 10.

Postby Barrabundy » Fri Jul 06, 2012 7:20 pm

The last time my kayak was wet was June 9 and it's been parked up high and dry since then. Part of the reason has been work load during the week and the fact that my vehicle has been in dock for the last three weeks hasnt helped me getting mobile on weekends either.

My ute came back today and I'm feeling like a teenager going out on their first date on Sunday morning. Now I have that anxiety of where to go.....decisions decisions!

I know you were all dying to know that might even be able to post a trip report.

Plenty of fishy looking spots in Sydney harbour I hear and the weather's playing nice this weekend. And pulling a barra out of the snags up one of our creeks would certainly make for a noteworthy report and return to the water Con...

I've had similar issues. Nearly three months with illness and injury keeping me off the water. With a short trip to Paindane in the middle. :? Only just getting back into it. SWMBO thinks Im much easier to get on with I'm paddling, get grumpy otherwise.

Crack on Con, let's see that trip report.

Flatties are going off big time in the creeks up there. My lads been getting more than he has ever seen before. So good luck Con at least your extremities are not in danger of freezing off like down south. Minus 2 here this morning.

Well that's it, my dinner guests have just left and after much deliberation I've decided a,freshwater trip upstream it is. The tides are perfect for some of my favoured saltwater haunts but this trip is going to be part fishing part recon for a longer trip sometime in the future.
