A rainy day and found this amazing classical clip featuring Conductor Ben Zander and the Youth Orchestra of the Americas

Some flat out Beethoven [as written according to BZ], then Elgar, and finally a jam session at the end.

You don't have to be a classical fan to appreciate these kids

The andante (2nd movement) was used in the classic film 'Elvira Madigan', a tragic love story.

Not so, for me. Elvira Madigan was, and will always remain, a tragic love story that millions of people remembered fondly, despite the ending. A good story, and great cinamatogrophy. Oh, and incidentally, one of the most famous of films for introducing many of those millions to classical music.

Another great of this genre was 2001, A Space Odyssey, the Stanley Kubrick gem. More classical music Paul :D

Mozart is too light and airy, bit like the sneakers. Stanley would of done better if he got Bach to do the score.

I've been enjoying one of Koichies suggestions, kinda non conformist classical.
