SA Metro Squid

Plenty of squid around today. Dropped a big one as I had no net or gaff and could not get my hand completely around it. Average size was excellent, with the larger squid pulling drag and putting up a very good fight.

Took me a second to work out what the photo was. Thought it was a chiton for a minute and was wondering why you were posting it. Excellent bag of squid!!
Cheers,

Jon

What a massive squid that must have been if you couldn't get your hand round it! Never mind, plenty of rings in that bag mate.

Be careful Kelvin... if you get them too big, it might not be Calamari on your menu, but Kelvin on the squidlie's menu!

Love them Calamari! Great catch!

Squid were caught south of Glenelg.

The photo was taken with the squid in the Bathub as I don't have a bit enough bucket or sink. The big ones would be just under 1kg and the one I lost probably just over.
