For the fishing i do, i feel they would be a pest. There are times when i kind of wish that i could be more stable while grabbing stuff but then i toss a foot over the side and it's fixed. The revo is an excellent offshore craft provided you have a relatively sheltered launch. It is no glass ski built for the surf zone. I feel no less comfortable in the swell than i do in a creek after bass. One caution though, beware cresting waves side on. They will roll you out quick as winking.
Grant catches some amazing fish from a revo. Search for a post by Gamefisher about the legend doing it again. There is a couple of good pics of his setup there if you are wondering how much stuff you can take and not worry about riggers.
But ultimately it's about what you are comfortable with, not what I'm comfortable doing.
Cheers,
Jon
