Humminbird SideImaging Transducer Mount?

Postby johnH » Thu Apr 15, 2010 6:33 pm

Has anyone mounted a Humminbird SideImaging transducer on a Kayak? Due to the side imaging it will need to be external to the hull and not mounted on the rudder.

I will be mounting one in a Hobie Outback when I get it, but I'm after ideas from any kayak.

By using the search function (portable sounder) I found these, see if they help;

and the list goes on.....................................................................and on................................................................and on.
Plenty of different versions of pretty much the same thing.
Happy sailing/fishing

Did see a couple of good set ups at the kayak ABT,they were using these "Bung to RAM adaptor" and a Ram Mount bracket to mount there transducers

Two types available, one has a grove to allow the cable to come out from from the kayaks bung :shock: ;-)

Side Image Transducer mount featured in Scott Lovig's You Tube video below. It uses the Bung mount Buff is talking about.

Good luck.

I got my sounder all mounted up and took it for a test run today. Works a treat.
