Forum rules
WARNING: Kayaking, and Kayak Fishing are DANGEROUS ACTIVIES, and present a number of inherent risks.
Participation in any events organised using the Fishing Trips section is entirely at your own risk. Neither the organising member(s), nor the administration team of the Australian Kayak Fishing Forum, can accept any reponsibility for loss, damage, injury or death arising from kayak fishing trips.
It is the responsibility of the individual to ensure that they paddle and fish within their ability, and not to put themselves in harm’s way.
Even where safety suggestions are offered within the trips section, or elsewhere on the AKFF site, it is up to the individual kayaker to ensure that precautions appropriate to your trip circumstances are undertaken, and that all legal requirements of your state or territory are followed.
If you do not agree to these guidelines, please do not attend events organised in this section.

Hey?
"God" is not an explanation. It's a placeholder for those lacking the courage, or the intellectual honesty to say "I don't know"

Have a look at the Australian Maritime College mate:
"Want to captain a large vessel, safeguard the world’s marine environments or design super structures on the ocean?
At AMC you’ll be taught by industry leading experts and have access to some of the best facilities in the world. AMC can give you the necessary experience and skills to work anywhere you choose in the global maritime and marine industries.
Our lecturers are from a wide range of backgrounds including industrial positions, ship operations, marine science, maritime management, small vessel design and operation. They are hands on in helping each of our students reach their potential and achieve their best. AMC has three national centres, each focusing on a different aspect of the maritime and marine industries."Alternatively, if you're interested in Joining the Queensland Boating and Fisheries Patrol:
